Anouksha Patel

Trainee Solicitor

Anouksha graduated from Durham University in 2008 having read History. She attributes her growing interest in Law to her Dissertation which focused on the effects of changes in domestic English Law to policies implemented in the colonies during the Nineteenth Century.

Following her graduation from Durham she went on to successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in London, in which she attained Commendation, before joining Balsara & Co Solicitors in October 2010. Her interest in the discipline has extended beyond her academic commitment and whilst completing her LPC she undertook an internship with a legal charity based in Canary Wharf, which aimed at bringing cohesive and comprehensive legal advice to qualified lawyers based in African countries such as Tanzania, Ghana and Uganda.

Her training contract commenced in January 2011 and she has been primarily based in the Real Estate seat. She has so far worked on a number of complex commercial and residential matters.

Anouksha enjoys visiting the theatre, skiing, tennis and learning new languages. She is currently learning Hindi. She is also actively involved in charitable ventures and in the summer of 2008 she coordinated a group of Durham University students to participate in a voluntary programme in Kathmandu, Nepal teaching at a charity run school.
