Sunny is a solicitor in Balsara & Co.’s Corporate Recovery & Insolvency department and specialises predominately in Corporate Insolvency. He also has vast experience in civil litigation and has represented companies and individuals in the Royal Courts of Justice, as well as advising and representing individuals facing personal bankruptcy.
Sunny read law at Brunel University, West London and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Moorgate.
He specialises in advising debtors, creditors and insolvency practitioners on both contentious and non-contentious matters, in all insolvency processes such as receivership, administration, company voluntary arrangements and liquidation, and related matters such as directors’ duties on insolvency and disqualification issues.
He has also advised many of the Asian Banks (Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank (International) Limited, Canara Bank, ICICI and Syndicate Bank) across the global and has been involved in complex cross boarder recovery claims and litigation.
Recent assignments include:
- Advising the Joint Administrators of Portsmouth City Football Club Limited on discrete matters in the Administration of the Club
- Advising the Administrators of a property development company, with a complex portfolio of properties, which went into Administration
- Advising the Joint Administrators of fashion and homewares chain Life & Style Retail Limited, a company having in excess of 100 stores across England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland
